Long commutes are a consequence of an ever-worsening housing/jobs imbalance in the Bay Area. Although the super-commuter is the national face of the crisis, the true victim might be better characterized as the regional economy.

Helping to better understand how the region can best utilize the 55-mile stretch of shoreline extending from Hercules to Oakley as a partner in Contra Costa County's Northern Waterfront Economic Development Initiative.

Education and training for the future
Working to establish a local pipeline of qualified, diverse talent to ensure that healthcare workforce reflects the diversity of the communities they serve and meets employer demand. This work is in close partnership with the Workforce Development Board of Contra Costa County and the Bay Area Health Workforce Partnership.
Helped incubate this initiative that has expanded work-based learning opportunities and resources to thousands of local students.
In response the the COVID-19 recession, we partnered with public sector partners to assemble a group of key business leaders and regional stakeholders to help ensure an equitable economic recovery in Contra Costa County.
Infrastructure
Supporting the future of transportation including the evolving technology, workforce, and public/private investments needed to make Contra Costa County a hub of autonomous and connected vehicle technology.
Organizing the East Bay Broadband Consortium (EBBC) with other regional economic development organizations with a focus on improving broadband access to everyone in the region.
Tracking regional commute patterns and goods movement gridlock to help create a more efficient transportation and logistics network.
Working to meet the region's needs for reliable water through a healthy delta ecosystem, storage solutions, and expansion of water recycling and re-use in the region.
